While we're on the subject of comics stores

...While we're on the subject, while in the Bay area, I was told that the famed COMIX EXPERIENCE bookstore is owned by Brian Hibbs, who -- rumor has it -- is the inspiration for The Simpson's COMIC BOOK GUY. But you can't trust rumors, especially from knowledgeable comic book types.

Actually, I remember reading in an interview with some of the Simpsons' writers that Comic Book Guy is an amalgam of several different people. They said that they have people coming up to them constantly saying that CBG is exactly like their local store owner. Apparently fanboy behavior really is universal.
